Writer/Actor Liz Morgan joins BLACKER team

We’re thrilled to announce that the multi-talented Liz Morgan has joined the BLACKER team! She’ll have first-name writing credits on upcoming episodes in addition to gracing the screen with her impeccable comic timing. More about Liz:

LIZ MORGAN was brought up on oxtail, rice, and peas. As a writer raised by two Caribbean doctors, she has maintained a dedication to healing and a taste for all things spicy. Liz is best known for her poem “Why I was Late Today and will Probably Always Be Late as as Black Woman” (Huffington Post). Her recent collaborations on episodic content include working with Emmy-nominated director, Dui Jarrod, as the story editor for BRIC TV’s digital drama, SAUCE (Seattle International Film Festival, Hip Hop Film Festival, UrbanWorld). Liz was part of the inaugural writers room for SERIALS, a late-night comedy show competition produced by The Flea Theater. You may have also seen her flexing her writing and acting chops simultaneously on the web series Love in NY and Spicy Wit or her theatrical solo show, Deep $h*t. Her on screen credits also include byChance Boston and Ted 2 with Seth MacFarlane. Liz holds both a bachelors degree and an MFA in Acting from Brown University, where she received the Davis Wickham Prize for Excellence in Playwriting and once twerked the toga off of a frat boy. Other honors include the 2019 Kilroys List (Honorable Mention), the Torchbearer for Black Theatre Award, and National Black Theatre’s I AM SOUL Playwrights Residency (Finalist).
